Central Silk Board (CSB), through its Basic Tasar Silkworm Seed Organization (BTSSO), Bilaspur, is hiring Sericulture Assistants on contract for its institute and field units. BTSSO works on pre-cocoon technology within the Ministry of Textiles, and this engagement supports the board’s operational needs. You will support Senior Technical Assistants at the institutes or units, without being attached to a particular project.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The initial engagement is for up to one year. It gives you no right to regularisation, absorption, continuation or a permanent or temporary appointment in CSB. Consider this condition when deciding whether the role fits your plans.
• Work locations: The notice lists units in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha and West Bengal. The institute’s Bilaspur address does not mean that every selected applicant will work there.
• Location preferences: You may name three preferred locations. CSB makes the final posting decision using merit, the openings available and administrative needs, so your preference does not guarantee a particular unit.
• Nature of the work: The engagement supports the work carried out by Senior Technical Assistants across CSB institutes and units. The notice expressly keeps these appointments separate from any specific project assignment.
• Travel and stay: You must meet your own interview travel and accommodation costs. The board will not pay travelling allowance, daily allowance, lodging or boarding expenses.
• Email communication: CSB will send further correspondence, including interview arrangements, by email. Give an active address that you can access; the board does not take responsibility for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Completed applications: Incomplete forms will be rejected. After you apply, CSB will not accept requests to add further information, so make sure your entries are complete before sending the form.
• Recruitment changes: CSB can change the advertised intake according to its needs and may amend or cancel all or part of the engagement. It may also alter recruitment conditions when unforeseen circumstances arise.
• Accuracy of claims: Incorrect or incomplete information can lead to cancellation at any point, including after joining. Attempting to influence the process, directly or indirectly, also leads to disqualification.
• Decision and jurisdiction: The board’s decisions on this engagement are final under the notice. Disputes connected with the advertisement or applications fall under the courts at Bilaspur.
