Pondicherry University, a Central University located in Puducherry, has released an advertisement (Ref: PU/DBMB/ADG (2026-27) dated 18 May 2026) for one Project Technical Support-III (Non-Medical) position. This is an ICMR-sponsored project position in the area of Alzheimer's disease therapy under Dr. Asmita Dasgupta, Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. The selection is purely merit-based with online interview - no written exam.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• You must have a First Class Postgraduate degree in Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Biotechnology
• You should have less than 3 years of research experience involving advanced skills in Bioinformatics or Molecular Biology
• Candidates with more than 3 years of experience in Bioinformatics domain are also encouraged to apply

Desirable Qualification

• Research experience demonstrated in publications involving advanced bioinformatics or molecular biology skills
• Additional experience or training in small laboratory animal handling will be appreciated
• Candidates with both Master's degree and research experience in Bioinformatics will be prioritised in screening

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age relaxation as per ICMR guidelines for reserved categories

Salary

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 28,000 per month
• Plus 15% HRA on consolidated pay
• Payment will be governed by Pondicherry University rules and ICMR guidelines

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely merit-based and consists of these stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Applications received within 8 June 2026 will be screened for eligibility
2. Shortlisting: Up to top 8 candidates based on academic and research qualifications will be shortlisted
3. Online Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for an online interview by the competent selection committee as per ICMR guidelines
