The NITS Foundation for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (NITS-FIIE) at National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam, has released a notification (Advt. No. F.NITS-FIIE-01/DST NIDHI iTBI/2026/Manpower Recruitment/2026/01) for three positions under the DST NIDHI-Inclusive Technology Business Incubator (iTBI) programme. This incubator works to support tech start-ups and entrepreneurs in the North Eastern Region. These are contract posts for 1 year, renewable based on performance — a strong opportunity for people who want to work in the start-up and innovation ecosystem.

Who Can Apply?

Chief Executive Officer (Salary Rs. 80,000)

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering / Technology / Pharmacy. An MBA or PG management degree is preferred. Science graduates with an MBA can also apply.
• Experience: At least 10 years of overall work experience, with at least 3 years in the start-up ecosystem (as a founder, co-founder, core team member, incubator manager) or 3 years of industry (MNC) experience with project management. You should have experience writing and submitting project proposals/DPRs to ministries or funding agencies.
• Experience in NIDHI-TBI, NIDHI-PRAYAS or similar incubation schemes is preferred.

Incubation Manager (Salary Rs. 40,000)

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering / Technology / Science / Business / Management. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years in the start-up sector (founder, co-founder, core team member, incubation centre management) or 2 years of managerial experience in R&D / technology management / commercialization / business development.

Incubation Associate (Salary Rs. 30,000)

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering / Technology / Science / Business / Management.
• Experience: No experience required — freshers can apply.

Age Limit

• Chief Executive Officer: Below 50 years as on the closing date.
• Incubation Manager: Below 45 years as on the closing date.
• Incubation Associate: Below 40 years as on the closing date.
• Age is counted as on 8 June 2026 (the closing date, including extension if any).

Salary

• Chief Executive Officer: Rs. 80,000 per month (consolidated).
• Incubation Manager: Rs. 40,000 per month (consolidated).
• Incubation Associate: Rs. 30,000 per month (consolidated).
• Each post gets a 10% cumulative annual increment based on performance review.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened against the qualification and experience rules for each post.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for an interview. The date, time and mode will be sent to your registered email.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. Bring your original certificates for verification.
