About This Job

IGNCA is hiring 1 Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer on a deputation basis in New Delhi. If you are an officer in a Central or State Government, Autonomous Body, or University with 12 years of experience in office or financial management at supervisory level, you can apply. IGNCA Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer Recruitment 2026

Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), an autonomous trust under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has released a notification for 01 post of Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer. This is a deputation post for a fixed period of 3 years. This is not a fresh recruitment — only serving officers from Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, or Universities holding analogous posts can apply through proper channel.

Who Can Apply?

  • Service: You must be an officer of an Academic / Research Institute of Central or State Government, Autonomous Bodies, or Universities.
  • Essential Qualifications:
  1. You should already be holding an analogous post in your parent department.
  2. You must have a degree from a recognized University.
  3. You should have at least 12 years of experience in Office Management or Financial Management in a supervisory capacity in Central/State Government, Autonomous Institutes, or Universities.
  4. You must have 5 years of regular service in Pay Level-11 (Grade Pay Rs. 6,600 as per 6th CPC) OR 7 years of combined experience in Pay Level-11 (Grade Pay Rs. 6,600) and Pay Level-10 (PB-3 with Grade Pay Rs. 5,400).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Indian Art and Culture
  • Experience of managing projects

Note: You also need to submit vigilance clearance, No Objection Certificate from the parent department, and attested copies of APAR (Annual Performance Appraisal Report) of the last 5 years through proper channel.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 56 years as on 01 April 2026
  • Age Relaxation: The Competent Authority may consider age relaxation for short-term contract appointments.

Salary

  • Pay Scale: Level-12 of 7th CPC (Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month)
  • Equivalent in 6th CPC: PB-3, Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100 with Grade Pay Rs. 7,600
  • You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules.
  • Period of deputation: 3 years

Selection Process

The selection is done in two stages:

  2. Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Date, place and time of interview will be communicated by email.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the overall financial administration and accounting functions of IGNCA
  • Advise the Centre on financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Monitor expenditure and ensure compliance with government financial rules
  • Prepare annual budgets, audit replies, and financial statements
  • Supervise internal audit and coordinate with external auditors
  • Manage project funds, grant utilization, and statutory financial reporting
  • Ensure timely release of salaries, payments, and reimbursements

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Degree from a recognized University and holding analogous post in Central/State Government, Autonomous Bodies, or Universities with 12 years supervisory experience in Office/Financial Management.

Preferred Qualification

Knowledge of Indian Art and Culture; experience of managing projects.
