Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank), an all-India premier financial institution engaged in financing, facilitating, and promoting India's international trade, has released Advertisement No. HRM/MT/2026-27/01 for 5 Management Trainee posts under two streams - Human Resource Management (3 posts) and Administration (2 posts). This is a permanent absorption opportunity - after one year of training, you will be absorbed as Deputy Manager in JM-I Grade. Postgraduate freshers with strong communication skills can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Management Trainee (Human Resource Management) - 3 Posts:

  • Graduation: Minimum 60% marks in a 3-year full-time graduation course
  • Post Graduation: MBA / PGDBA / PGDBM / MMS with specialization in Human Resource Management or Personnel Management (2-year full-time course with minimum 60% marks)

For Management Trainee (Administration) - 2 Posts:

  • Graduation: Minimum 60% marks in a 3-year full-time graduation course
  • Post Graduation: MBA / PGDBA / PGDBM / MMS with specialization in Hotel and Hospitality Management or Facilities Management (2-year full-time, minimum 60% marks)
  • OR B.Tech in Civil Engineering + Post Graduation (MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/MMS) in any discipline (both with minimum 60% marks)

Other Conditions:

  • The University/Institute must be recognised by Government / AICTE / UGC
  • Correspondence, part-time, open university, open learning, external or distance learning degrees are NOT eligible
  • You must be an Indian citizen
  • You should have excellent communication skills and be proficient in computers
  • Final year candidates can also apply, but must produce qualification documents by 01 June 2026

Age Limit

  • You should be between 21 and 28 years as on 30 April 2026
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Maximum age 31 years (3 years relaxation)
  • PwBD candidates: 10 years age relaxation
  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 years age relaxation

Salary

  • During Training (1 year): Monthly stipend of Rs. 65,000
  • After Absorption as Deputy Manager (JM-I): Pay band Rs. 48,480 - 2000 - 62,480 - 2340 - 67,160 - 2680 - 85,920 as per IBA 12th Bipartite Settlement
  • You will also get allowances, perquisites, and benefits as per the Bank's rules
  • Residential accommodation may be provided or leased accommodation scheme is available
  • Loan schemes for housing, vehicle, personal computer, and children's education are also available

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

  1. Written Test (Subjective): Professional Knowledge paper of 100 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes. Part I (Subject Matter Knowledge - HR/Administration) - 1 compulsory question for 40 marks. Part II - attempt any 6 out of 8 questions for 60 marks.
  2. Personal Interview: Conducted in Mumbai and/or New Delhi for shortlisted candidates from the written test.

Final selection is based on Written Exam (70% weightage) + Interview (30% weightage). There is no sectional cut off. A pre-recruitment training will be organised for candidates from reserved categories who opt for it.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior HR or Administration officers with daily operational tasks in the Bank
  • Support recruitment, training, and employee engagement activities (HR stream)
  • Manage office facilities, hospitality services, and administrative coordination (Administration stream)
  • Handle documentation, reports, and policy implementation related to the assigned function
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to international trade financing operations
  • Learn the Bank's products, services, and processes during the one-year training programme
  • Prepare to take on the role of Deputy Manager (JM-I) after successful completion of training

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Graduation (min 60%) + MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/MMS in HR/Personnel Management OR Hotel/Hospitality/Facilities Management (min 60%). For Administration stream, B.Tech Civil + MBA in any discipline is also accepted.
