Who Can Apply?

Research Associate Posts

• RA-I Biomass project: PhD in Chemical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Agricultural Biotechnology with at least one first-author SCI publication.
• RA-III Wheat project: PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genomics, Plant Breeding, Genetics, or Life Sciences with computational experience; or M.Tech/M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or Statistics with 3 years research experience and an SCI paper.
• RA-I NABI-Core: PhD/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent, or relevant higher professional qualification with research/teaching/design experience and an SCI paper as stated in the notice.

Project Associate, JRF, Assistant, and Field/Lab Posts

• JRF/PA-I Lignin project: Master's degree in relevant chemistry, biotechnology, nanotechnology, microbiology, food technology, pharmacy, or engineering fields; NET/GATE is needed for the JRF salary route.
• PA-I Pichia project: Master's in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Science, or Molecular Biology with a national-level examination such as CSIR-UGC NET or GATE.
• Project Assistant: B.Sc. or equivalent degree/diploma with at least 55%.
• Field/Lab Worker: B.Sc. or equivalent degree/diploma with at least 55%; lab/field experience, Hindi/English reading ability, and 10th class qualification are desirable.

Age Limit

• JRF/PA-I lignin project: Maximum age 28 years.
• Research Associate-I biomass project: Maximum age 35 years.
• Project Associate-I and Project Assistant: Maximum age 35 years as stated in the respective sections.
• Research Associate-III and NABI-Core RA-I: Maximum age 40 years.
• Field/Lab Worker: Maximum age 50 years.
• Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates get relaxation as per Government of India instructions where mentioned.

Salary

• Research Associate-III: Rs. 67,000 per month + HRA.
• Research Associate-I: Rs. 58,000 per month + HRA.
• Senior Research Fellow salary condition: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA for PhD thesis-submitted candidates until PhD completion.
• JRF / Project Associate-I: Rs. 37,000 + HRA for JRF/PA routes with national exam; Rs. 30,000 + HRA for PA-I without national exam in the lignin project.
• Project Assistant: Expected Rs. 27,000 per month + HRA, subject to funding agency terms.
• Field/Lab Worker: Expected minimum about Rs. 26,500 per month fixed, subject to project grant funds.
