Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Miniratna Category-I PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has released Advertisement No. BDL/C-HR (TA & CP)/2026-1 dated 27 May 2026. The recruitment is for Project Engineer (Electronics), Project Engineer (Mechanical) and Project Engineer (Computer Science). The engagement is initially for 1 year and may be extended up to a maximum of 4 years based on organisational need and individual performance.

The posts are for BDL Kanchanbagh Unit, Hyderabad, and the current place of work is the BDL Project Office at ADE, Bengaluru. BDL has also stated that candidates can be transferred and posted to any unit, office or project site of the company across India if needed. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Qualification: You need First Class (60%) in BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4 years), Integrated ME/M.Tech or equivalent in the relevant discipline from an AICTE-approved institute or university.
• Relaxed Marks: For SC/ST candidates applying against reserved posts, 55% marks in aggregate is accepted.
• Electronics Disciplines: Electronics, ECE, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics Design & Technology, Applied Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication or Electronics & Control Engineering.
• Mechanical Disciplines: Mechanical, Industrial and Production, Production, Manufacturing Technology, Aerospace, Aeronautical and related mechanical production disciplines listed in the PDF.
• Computer Science Discipline: Computer Science Engineering.
• Experience: You need at least 1 year of post-qualification industry experience in the relevant area. Academic, teaching, internship and project-work experience will not be counted.

Experience Areas

• Electronics: Embedded systems, RF, power electronics, troubleshooting, system design, LabVIEW, control systems, FPGA, C/C++/VC++ and weapon checkout system software knowledge.
• Mechanical: CAD tools, FEA, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, material selection, manufacturing process, 3D modelling, product development, machine design, testing, QA and project management.
• Computer Science: Application software for weapon systems using tools such as FPGA/VHDL, C, C++, VC++, Python, ADA, HILS, Dspace, NI tools, Veristand, ETAS, LABCAR, Opal-RT, Vector tools and software testing tools such as LDRA and Polyspace.

Age Limit

• Age is counted as on 7 May 2026.
• UR / EWS: Maximum 28 years
• OBC (NCL): Maximum 31 years
• SC / ST: Maximum 33 years
• PwBD: Additional 10 years relaxation over the category relaxation.
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per Government guidelines, including military service plus three years.
• Jammu & Kashmir Domicile: Candidates ordinarily domiciled in J&K between 1 January 1980 and 31 December 1989 get 5 years relaxation with certificate.

Salary

• 1st Year: Rs. 30,000 per month
• 2nd Year: Rs. 33,000 per month on extension
• 3rd Year: Rs. 36,000 per month on extension
• 4th Year: Rs. 39,000 per month on extension
• BDL will also pay Rs. 10,000 per year towards expenses such as medical insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges and footwear allowance, paid in two instalments.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection is through document scrutiny and walk-in interview. BDL has not announced any written exam for these Project Engineer posts.

1. Walk-in Reporting: Reach the venue on 6 June 2026 or 7 June 2026 from 9:00 AM. Candidates will not be allowed after 2:00 PM.
2. Document Scrutiny: BDL will check your filled bio-data form, qualification certificates, experience proof, salary proof, category certificate and original documents.
3. Interview: Candidates meeting the requirements will be interviewed on the same day or later if required. You may need to stay for more than one day at your own expense.
4. Merit List: Final selection is based on qualification marks, post-qualification experience and interview marks.

Selection Weightage: Essential qualification marks carry up to 75 marks, relevant experience carries up to 10 marks, and interview carries 15 marks. The total is 100 marks, and minimum qualifying marks are 60% with concessions as per rules for SC/ST, OBC (NCL) and PwBD candidates.
