ANIIMS Lady Medical Officer Recruitment 2026

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS), under the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, will hold a walk-in interview to fill the post of Lady Medical Officer on a contract basis. There is no written exam — selection is done directly through the interview. This is a good opening for women doctors who hold an MBBS and want a government hospital job with a strong monthly pay.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree recognised as per NMC (National Medical Commission) norms.
• Registration: You need a valid MBBS registration with the State Medical Council or MCI.
• Internship: You must have completed your internship and hold the Internship Completion Certificate.
• This post is for women candidates only (Lady Medical Officer).

Salary

• You will get a fixed consolidated pay of Rs. 86,000 per month.
• This is a consolidated amount on contract basis — no separate DA or HRA is mentioned in the notice.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in a single step:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview in person on the given date. Bring all your original documents and self-attested copies.
2. Document Verification: Your certificates will be checked at the venue before the interview.

Reach the venue at least one hour before the scheduled time for document checking and other formalities.

2. Fill in the form in capital letters.
3. Attach self-attested copies of all your documents.
4. Bring the filled form along with all original certificates to the walk-in interview.
5. Reach the venue — Dean Office, ANIIMS New Campus, Corbyn's Cove — by 9:00 AM on 30 May 2026.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Documents needed include 10th pass certificate, attempt and character certificate, MBBS mark sheets, MBBS degree, internship completion certificate, MBBS registration certificate, PAN card and Aadhaar card.

Important Dates

• Examine and treat patients in the assigned department or ward
• Handle outpatient and emergency cases as needed
• Prescribe medicines and follow up on patient treatment plans
• Keep proper medical records of patients
• Work in shifts including night duty when assigned
• Follow hospital rules, safety guidelines and NMC standards
• Assist senior doctors during rounds and procedures
