The vacancies are split as 3 UR, 1 OBC and 1 SC. No written test is required — shortlisted candidates go straight to an interview. The engagement is purely temporary on a contract basis, starting for one year and renewable annually up to a maximum of five years, based on your performance. If you have previously worked at IISc through an HR Department appointment, that prior service also counts towards this five-year cap. Who Can Apply?

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 34,000 plus HRA.
• Apart from this consolidated pay, no other benefits like Provident Fund, Pension, Medical Allowance, Seniority, or Promotion are admissible for this contract engagement.
• The contract can be terminated by either side with one month's notice, and selection does not entitle you to any claim of permanency or regularization against a regular post.
• No accommodation will be provided on the Institute campus during your engagement.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The selection will be done in the following stage(s):

1. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. IISc may restrict the number of candidates called for interview to a reasonable number, based on qualifications and/or experience.
2. Medical Fitness Check: Your engagement is subject to being found medically fit.

There is no TA/DA paid for attending the interview if it is held in person. You will be informed of the interview date and time through your registered e-mail ID — the Institute will not correspond with candidates who are not shortlisted. Since call letters are sent only by email, you should check your registered email account frequently once you have applied, so you don't miss your interview call.
