MAIDS Dental Hygienist Recruitment 2026: Overview

Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS), the Delhi Government's dental college and hospital at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, is hiring a Dental Hygienist for its Mobile Dental Clinic Project. The project runs under the National Health Mission (NHM), so this is a contract post tied to the project, not a regular government appointment. The single seat is reserved for OBC candidates who hold a Delhi-issued OBC certificate, so check your certificate before you start the form.

If you have finished Class 12, completed a Dental Hygienist course from a recognised dental institute and are registered with the Delhi Dental Council, this is a good way into public dental care in Delhi. Clinical experience in a related field gives you an edge, but it is listed only as desirable.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• OBC (Delhi) only: Your OBC certificate must be issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi as "OBC (Delhi)". Certificates from any other state or authority will not be considered.
• Non-creamy layer: You need a non-creamy layer certificate for financial year 2026-27, which means one issued on or after 1 April 2026, along with your caste certificate.
• Project post: The job belongs to the Mobile Dental Clinic Project, and the person selected gets no right to a regular appointment.
• Cut-off for age and experience: Both are counted on the closing date of applications, not on the opening date.
• Screening: MAIDS checks every form first. Only shortlisted candidates are called, and the call may be for a written exam or a walk-in interview — the notice for it goes up on the institute website.
• Incomplete forms: Forms missing details or document copies are rejected without any message to you.
• No travel allowance: No TA/DA is paid for the screening test, the interview or for joining.
• Results: The selected list and a wait list are both published on the institute website. The institute may change the vacancy count or withdraw the process.
