NHM Purba Bardhaman Pharmacist Recruitment 2026: Overview

The District Health & Family Welfare Samity (DH&FWS) and the office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH), Purba Bardhaman are filling Pharmacist and Medical Officer-AYUSH posts under the National Health Mission (NHM). Every post sits in a Mobile Health Team (MHT) of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), the child health screening programme, working out of the Block Primary Health Centres (BPHC) and municipalities of the district. This is a fresh, purely contractual drive, and selection is decided only on your academic marks, so diploma pharmacists and AYUSH graduates from West Bengal who speak Bengali should take note.

Posts and Disciplines

• Pharmacist (MHT, RBSK): the bulk of this drive, for holders of a two-year D.Pharm (Allopathic) registered with the West Bengal Pharmacy Council. A B.Pharm or M.Pharm earns you extra marks, and the posts include seats for meritorious sportspersons and persons with benchmark disability.
• Medical Officer-AYUSH (MHT), Male: a single unreserved post for BHMS, BAMS or BUMS doctors who have finished their compulsory internship and hold council registration.
• Medical Officer-AYUSH (MHT), Female: the same role filled from a separate list for women, with posts spread across UR, EWS (EC), SC and ST categories. An MD in Homoeopathy, Ayurveda or Unani adds marks.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Domicile: You must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Bengali: you must be able to read, write and speak Bengali.
• Contract term: the first engagement runs up to March 2027 and may be renewed if your performance is good and higher authorities approve.
• BHMS registration: homoeopathy graduates need registration in Part-A of the West Bengal State Register or Part I of the Central Register; graded BHMS degrees are accepted.
• Marks rule: merit is worked out without additional-subject marks and with no rounding off, up to two decimal places.
• Qualification deadline: every essential qualification must be completed by the last date of the online form.
• Mismatch risk: if your online details differ from your original certificates, or your photo and signature are missing, the application is cancelled.
