ESIC Tiruppur Senior Resident and Specialist Recruitment 2026: Overview

Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, is hiring doctors for its ESIC Hospital at Pooluvapatti, Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu. The Medical Superintendent is filling a Full-Time Specialist seat in Psychiatry and a set of Senior Resident seats across seven clinical departments, all through a walk-in interview. Every post is a contract engagement with a three-year horizon, renewed year by year on performance. Post-wise Duties

Full-Time Specialist

You will be on call 24 x 7 and responsible for every patient treated under your supervision in your discipline. Private practice of any kind is not allowed for this full-time engagement.

Senior Resident

Your work is assigned by the Medical Superintendent, including emergency duties rostered by the MS or their representatives. You will handle patient care in your department and any other work the hospital needs in the interest of its patients.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract only: You get no claim to regularisation, and no PF, pension, gratuity, seniority or promotion on par with regular staff.
• Tenure: Engagement starts for one year and is renewed annually on satisfactory performance, up to three years.
• Security deposit: Selected doctors give a Rs. 30,000 demand draft in favour of "ESI Fund Account No. 1" payable at Tiruppur. It is forfeited if you resign within nine months of joining; otherwise it is returned without interest 30 days after you complete the contract.
• Earlier residency: Doctors who have already worked three years as Senior Resident under the Central Senior Residency Scheme cannot apply for the Senior Resident posts.
• Indemnity cover: The specialist must hold a professional indemnity policy (minimum Rs. 10 to 30 lakh a year, depending on the speciality) and submit the policy and premium receipt within seven days of joining.
• Joining: You must join within seven days of receiving the offer, or the next candidate on the waiting list is called.
• Exit and relief: Either side can end the contract with one month's notice. If a regular appointee joins against your speciality, you are relieved immediately without notice.
• Absence: Being away for 15 days without permission counts as abandoning the engagement.
• Other terms: No hostel, quarters or uniform; no TA/DA for the interview; you sign a contract on a Rs. 100 stamp paper and open an SBI savings account if you do not have one.
• Reserved seats: Category certificates must be in the Central Government format and valid on the interview day, or you are treated as General.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form. Bring the filled application form printed in the notice, your original certificates and one self-attested set to ESIC Hospital, Pooluvapatti to Thirumurugan Poondi Ring Road, Tiruppur 641603. Report for document verification between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM; only doctors whose documents clear verification are allowed into the walk-in interview.

Pay the fee by demand draft drawn on a scheduled bank in favour of "ESI Fund Account No. 1" payable at Tiruppur, dated after the notice was issued. If you are already in service, carry a No Objection Certificate from your employer, including doctors serving a bond.
