The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), run under the Ministry of Defence, is hiring a Nursing Assistant for its ECHS Polyclinic at BD Bari. The polyclinic looks after retired soldiers and their families, so most of your patients will be ex-servicemen, their spouses and dependants coming in for routine treatment, follow-ups and minor procedures.

This is a contractual engagement, not a regular government post. The station headquarters runs the whole process itself: you send a paper application to the ECHS Cell, and selection happens through a personal interview at Station HQ BD Bari. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The engagement runs only up to 31 March 2027, and continuing even till then depends on your performance and other conditions set by ECHS.
• Ex-servicemen preference: The notice says preference will be given to ex-servicemen, so retired service nursing staff stand a better chance.
• Fixed pay: The pay is a fixed consolidated amount for the contract, not a pay-matrix scale with increments.
• Experience is essential: Only candidates who fully meet the qualification and experience requirement should apply. Freshers out of nursing college do not qualify.

Download the ECHS application form from the official website, fill it in, and submit it in duplicate with self-attested photocopies of your education and work-experience certificates to the OIC ECHS Cell, Station HQ BD Bari. The cell receives applications between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM during the application window; anything received after the due date or time is rejected.

On interview day, report at Station HQ BD Bari by 0830 hrs. Carry all your original certificates and mark sheets, experience proof, and, if you are an ex-serviceman, your discharge book, PPO and service records, along with two colour passport-size photographs.
