Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi (IIT BHU) is hiring a Lab Attendant for a project in its Department of Civil Engineering funded by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. The engagement is part-time and linked to the project, with work centred on the Geotechnical and Transportation laboratory. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project appointment: The post is temporary and ends with the project. Your appointment therefore depends on the project continuing; the notice does not offer an ongoing institute position.
• Project duration: The funded project has a sanctioned duration of three years. This does not mean that the selected person receives an unconditional appointment for the entire period.
• Renewal: Your tenure can be extended each year after a review of performance and approval from the funding agency. Both conditions matter for continuation in the role.
• Work setting: The engagement includes laboratory, field and office work connected with the Civil Engineering project. You should be comfortable moving between these settings rather than expecting an office-only assignment.
• Travel expenses: IIT BHU will not pay travel or daily allowances if you are called for an interview. You would need to make your own travel arrangements.
