UOC Technician Grade A USIC Recruitment 2026: Overview
University of Calicut (UOC) has re-notified contract recruitment for Technician Grade A at its University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC) in Kerala. The notice covers the Mechanical and Electronics streams together. It replaces an earlier recruitment notice, so you should refer to this re-notification when deciding which stream matches your trade.
Posts and Disciplines
- Mechanical: This stream is attached to USIC under the Technician Grade A designation and relates to mechanical technical work.
- Electronics: This stream is also attached to USIC under the same designation and relates to electronics technical work.

You should apply by 22 September 2026, the date listed for this post on the university careers page. The re-notification describes the window as 15 days from its date.
You need an ITI certificate in the relevant Mechanical trade or an ITI certificate in Electronics or Electrical for the Electronics stream. The notice also lists alternative ITI trades that may be considered when candidates with the primary qualifications are unavailable.
Use the university's online application form and choose Technician Gr. A (Mechanical/ Electronics) on contract in USIC. Upload your photograph within the 100 KB limit and complete the requested details.
You will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 23,360 per month.
Your age must not exceed 40 years as on 1 January 2026. The notice allows the usual upper-age relaxation for SC, ST and OBC candidates under applicable rules.
