Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is a Grant-in-Aid Institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, and runs Tata Memorial Hospital, one of the country's leading cancer treatment and research centres. TMC has invited applications for 1 Laboratory Technician III post at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (Advt. No. TMC/AD/116/2026 dated 10 July 2026, Account No. 4261). This is a project position under the DHR-ICMR DIAMOnDS initiative, a molecular oncology diagnostics program backed by the Department of Health Research and the Indian Council of Medical Research. The post is initially for six months, offering a chance to work in a molecular diagnostics laboratory that supports cutting-edge cancer research. Candidates with hands-on molecular diagnostics laboratory experience are strongly preferred since the role directly supports ongoing diagnostic services. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (Option 1): 12th pass in Science with a Diploma (MLT/DMLT) and 5 years of experience in Molecular Diagnostics.
• Qualification (Option 2): A 3-year Graduate Degree in Biological Sciences with 2 years of experience in Molecular Diagnostic laboratory work.
• Your educational qualification must be from a government-recognized or approved reputed institute.

Both routes require real, hands-on experience in a molecular diagnostics laboratory — this is not an entry-level post for freshers. If you have worked with PCR, sequencing, or other molecular biology techniques in a diagnostic or research lab, you meet the core requirement for this role.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 20,000 plus 30% HRA per month.

Selection Process

1. Screening: Candidates are initially screened and shortlisted for interview purely based on the information provided in the online application form.
2. MCQ Test (if a large number of candidates apply): TMC may conduct a written MCQ test to further shortlist candidates before the interview.
