TISS Project Manager Recruitment 2026: Overview

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is hiring a Project Manager in Mumbai for its Jal Jeevan Mission Chair Professor project at the Centre for Water Policy and Governance, School of Habitat Studies. The project studies how rural drinking-water schemes are governed, with a focus on local decision-making and community participation. Its work also brings public officials and other stakeholders together through training, workshops and policy discussions. You would join a multidisciplinary project team whose research connects drinking-water governance with practical institutional questions.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Short project appointment: The engagement runs from 11 October 2026 to 18 December 2026. The notice describes this as two months while also naming October, November and December, so use the stated start and end dates when assessing your availability.
• Mumbai base and field travel: You will be based in Mumbai, with travel to field locations when the project needs it. The work combines project administration with research and outreach connected to rural drinking water.
