Satyawadi Raja Harish Chandra Hospital (SRHC), Delhi is engaging Senior Residents across eight clinical departments at its Narela hospital. The posts are ad hoc and are meant to keep specialist services staffed until regular appointees join. This is a rolling weekday walk-in drive, so the hospital can stop interviewing for a department after its positions are filled. Doctors should confirm that their specialty still has an opening before travelling.

The notice gives fresh candidates priority while also providing a second route when doctors under the normal Residency Scheme are unavailable. Medicine and Paediatrics have a limited experience-based alternative for doctors without a postgraduate qualification, while the usual postgraduate and registration rules continue to apply to the other specialties. The hospital prepares a separate merit list for doctors considered under relaxed norms.

Posts and Disciplines

• Medicine: inpatient and outpatient care for adult medical cases, with an experience-based alternative when postgraduate doctors are unavailable.
• Orthopaedics: assessment and ward support for bone, joint and trauma cases.
• Paediatrics: clinical care for infants and children, with the same limited experience-based alternative noted for Medicine.

Post-wise Duties

Medical and Paediatric Care

You will assess patients, plan day-to-day treatment under senior consultants and maintain clear clinical notes. Medicine residents handle adult cases, while Paediatrics residents focus on children and coordinate with families during treatment.

Surgical, Orthopaedic and Anaesthesia Services

You will support emergency and planned procedures, complete pre- and post-operative checks and respond to ward and casualty calls. Anaesthesia residents also help monitor patients around procedures, while Surgery and Orthopaedics residents manage specialty follow-up.

Radiology, Dermatology and Obstetrics

You will provide specialty assessment and coordinate findings with the treating team. Radiology residents support imaging interpretation, Dermatology residents manage skin-related cases, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology residents assist maternity and women's health services.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial ad hoc engagement is for 89 days or until a regular doctor joins, whichever is earlier. It may continue up to 3 years only when service remains satisfactory.
• Merit order: The hospital follows merit while filling posts on a first-come, first-served basis. Fresh candidates are considered before the separate relaxed-norm merit list.
• Prior residency: Doctors who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency may appear under relaxed norms with a postgraduate qualification. Appointment from that second list is limited to 1 year and is not renewable.
• Reservation: PwD and EWS reservation applies under Government of NCT of Delhi rules.
• Joining: Selected doctors must be ready to join immediately or within 7 days after the offer letter is issued.
• Travel: The hospital does not pay TA or DA for attending the walk-in.
• Hostel: Accommodation may be provided on request and subject to availability; applicable deductions are made from pay under hospital rules.
