RTV Project Associate Zoology Recruitment 2026: Overview
Rabindranath Thakur Vishwavidyalaya (RTV) is recruiting a Project Associate-I for its Zoology department in Hojai, Assam. The appointment supports the Department of Biotechnology (DBT)-sponsored project Enhancing Breeding and Reproductive Success in Monopterus cuchia, led by Dr. Valentina Teronpi, Associate Professor and Principal Investigator.
The project is the basis of this engagement, and the university is using a walk-in interview to recruit for it. You will be considered for an appointment tied to the named research project.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial appointment: The contract starts with a one-year term. A further extension depends on satisfactory performance, so continued engagement is conditional.
- Project-linked tenure: The appointment is co-terminus with the project. Any extension therefore remains tied to the project rather than providing an independent continuing appointment.
- Interview travel: The university will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending. You will need to arrange your own travel to the campus.

You need an M.Sc. in Zoology. Knowledge of Computational Biology is desirable, and you must be no older than 35 years on the interview date.

You receive Rs. 31,000 per month plus HRA if you have CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/SLET, or Rs. 25,000 per month plus HRA without these qualifications.
