PU Research Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview
Panjab University (PU) is recruiting a Research Associate for a Department of Biotechnology (DBT) research project at its University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) in Chandigarh. The project, Biovalorization of Lignin, focuses on developing nanomaterials from lignin and evaluating how they perform. You would join the project under Dr. Sandip V. Pawar, Assistant Professor, through a temporary research appointment.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Limited tenure: The fellowship runs for eight months only. The notice strictly limits the fellowship to this period, so you should plan around a defined research engagement.
- Project appointment: The position is temporary and ends with the project. Keep this project-linked condition in mind when considering the appointment alongside your other research commitments.
- Travel costs: The university will not provide travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. You will need to make your own arrangements if called to Chandigarh.

पात्रता मानदंड
न्यूनतम योग्यता
PhD, or M.Pharm/M.Tech with 3 years of research/industrial experience and at least one research paper in an SCI journal. Minimum 55% marks, relaxed to 50% for SC/ST/PH applicants.
वांछित योग्यता
Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Biotechnology specialisation preferred. GATE/GPAT for M.Pharm/M.Tech applicants, or a national entrance examination conducted by a Central Government department, is desirable.
आवश्यक कौशल
Preferred experience in cancer research, drug development, in-vitro mammalian cell culture, in-vivo animal models, and molecular biology techniques such as western blot, ELISA and RT-PCR.
