Pondicherry University, a central university located in Puducherry, has released a notification for 1 Research Associate position in the Department of Banking Technology. The post is purely temporary and project-based. There is no written exam — selection is done through a single interview. Candidates with research experience in social science topics, especially those with experience in primary data handling and analytical software, will get preference.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• You must have a PhD / M.Phil / MBA / Post-graduate degree in a Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks, along with NET qualification.

Desired Qualification

• Proficiency in analytical software like SPSS, AMOS, R, Python, MATLAB, NVivo, and web scraping tools
• At least 2 years of experience in research work or in a research project of similar nature

Mandatory Requirement

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 47,000 per month.
• This is a fixed monthly amount — no separate DA, HRA, or other allowances are paid on top.

Selection Process

Selection is based on a single-stage process:

1. Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualification and research experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by the duly constituted selection committee. Interview details will be sent through email only.
3. Document Verification: Original certificates and self-attested copies of all certificates must be presented before the interview.

Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
