Who Can Apply?

For Junior Engineer (Rs. 50,000/month):

• You need a B.Tech or B.E. degree in Environmental Engineering and Technology from a recognized university.

For Sanitary Inspector (Rs. 40,000/month):

• You must have passed HSC (12th standard).
• You must have completed a Sanitary Inspector certification course.
• Science graduates will get preference.

• Domicile: You must be a resident of Maharashtra state.
• Language: You must have knowledge of Marathi.

Salary

• Junior Engineers get a consolidated salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.

• This is a fixed consolidated pay under contract terms for the 11-month period — no separate DA/HRA is mentioned in the notification.
• Since this is a contract appointment, selected candidates will not be entitled to any regular PMC post or the usual permanent-employee benefits.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Screening of Applications: If PMC receives more applications than vacancies, candidates will be screened based on merit and qualifications, and a shortlisted number will be called for interview.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. You must attend the interview at your own expense.

The final decision on selection rests with the Municipal Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation. Note: this is a temporary contract role for 11 months and does not entitle you to any regular PMC position. Selected candidates will also need to sign the service contract at their own expense.
