Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is engaging a Junior Consultant for land acquisition and Right of Use work in its Tripura Asset. The role is designed for retired Surveyors, Revenue Inspectors or Tehsildars from the Tripura Government's Directorate of Land Records and Settlement. Your field experience is central to this assignment because the work links ONGC's operational teams with landowners and state revenue offices.

The consultant will help move land and pipeline-access cases forward across the asset's operational areas. You may work on acquisition proposals, land records, mutation, compensation matters and negotiations with affected parties. Frequent field visits across Tripura are part of the role, so it suits a retired revenue official who can still travel, communicate clearly and handle sensitive land matters without making unauthorized commitments for ONGC.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract status: This is a temporary contractual engagement and gives you no claim to a regular ONGC appointment.
• Work area: You can be assigned anywhere in Tripura, including operational sites and pipeline alignments.
• Health and fitness: You must be reasonably fit for extensive field work. Joining is subject to medical fitness confirmed by ONGC Tripura Asset.
• Language: Sufficient knowledge of Bengali and English is needed for local coordination, records and communication.
• Renewal: The agreement is renewed yearly based on performance and medical fitness, and ONGC may end it if the required results are not achieved.
• Early termination: Either side must ordinarily give one month's notice before ending the agreement ahead of schedule.
• Tax and benefits: The consultant bears any GST liability. No TA, DA or regular employee benefits apply beyond the fixed package and leave allowed by the Tripura Asset calendar.

The assignment needs careful judgment. You may negotiate and help ONGC's internal committee, but you cannot make commitments on the corporation's behalf. Your reports may also support responses to spills, accidents, police matters and other statutory follow-up connected with land operations.
