NTPC Assistant Officer (Corporate Communication) Recruitment 2026: Overview

NTPC Limited, the Government of India enterprise that runs the country's largest power portfolio with an installed capacity of more than 91 GW, is hiring executives in Corporate Communication under advertisement number 12/26. The company is working towards a target of 149 GW by 2032, and this drive brings in communication professionals to support that expansion across its projects and stations. The post is an entry-level executive role in the E0 grade — the rung from which NTPC's regular executive careers begin. If you hold a degree in any subject plus a two-year postgraduate qualification in mass communication, journalism, advertising or public relations, this drive is open to you.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nationality: only Indian nationals can apply.
• Full-time study only: every qualification you claim must be full-time and from a university or institute recognised and approved in India — part-time and distance qualifications do not count.
• Posting and transfer: you can be posted at any office, station, project, joint venture or subsidiary of NTPC, and all posts are transferable at the management's discretion.
• Category is locked: the category you fill in the online form cannot be changed later, and no benefit of another category will be allowed afterwards. The caste, EWS or disability certificate must be of the applicable year and in the latest format prescribed by the Government of India.
• Health check: before joining you go through a medical examination by the NTPC Medical Board or Medical Officer, whose decision is final and binding. No relaxation in the prescribed health standards is allowed, so read the detailed medical norms on the careers website before you apply.
• Disability categories: the post is identified as suitable for candidates with B, LV, OA, OL, BL, OAL, CP, LC, Dw, AAV, SLD and MI disabilities, and multiple disabilities involving any of these.
• The drive can change: NTPC keeps the right to cancel, restrict, curtail or increase the number of posts without notice, and may raise the minimum eligibility standards to cut down the field.

If you pay the fee at a bank counter, print the pay-in-slip from the application portal and deposit the money only in the account NTPC has opened at the State Bank of India, CAG branch, New Delhi (branch code 09996). The bank gives you a journal number and a branch code, and both have to be entered in the online form. Deposit it anywhere else and NTPC takes no responsibility for the payment. The online payment route is built into the form itself.
