NRIDA Traffic and Transport Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview
National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency (NRIDA), under the Ministry of Rural Development, is engaging a Traffic and Transport Planning Engineer on contract for its work supporting the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. NRIDA provides technical and managerial support to States and Union Territories implementing the rural-road programme, so the role connects national planning guidance with work carried out by state rural road agencies.
The engineer will work closely with the GIS Lead and NRIDA Technical Division. The assignment combines planning audits, traffic modelling, road and bridge planning standards, training support, road-safety work, and applied research. It is suited to a transport-planning specialist who can connect engineering analysis, GIS tools and practical rural-road decisions.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Contract status: This is a contractual engagement and does not represent a regular civil-service appointment.
- Programme focus: Your work supports PMGSY rural connectivity and may involve coordination with State Rural Roads Development Agencies.
- Planning scale: Assignments can cover block, district and state-level road and bridge planning rather than one isolated project site.
- Employer discretion: NRIDA may cancel, withdraw, modify or leave the advertised position unfilled at any stage.
