Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is engaging General Duty Medical Officers at its Tarapur Maharashtra Site on a fixed-term basis. NPCIL works under the Department of Atomic Energy, and the doctors appointed through this drive will support a major operating nuclear-power campus at Boisar in Palghar district.

This is a site-based clinical role serving the Tarapur Maharashtra Site community rather than a general central-government transfer pool. The appointment combines routine medical care with the occupational-health setting of a large technical establishment. Candidates with institutional medical experience receive preference, while the compulsory internship period is not treated as qualifying experience.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The fixed-term appointment runs for one year or until personnel are selected regularly, whichever happens earlier.
• Early termination: Either side may end the engagement with at least 15 days' notice or payment equal to 15 days of consolidated pay.
• Facilities: Accommodation, transport, canteen, leave and holiday benefits follow the NPCIL fixed-term scheme. Medical and CHSS access is subject to the required contribution.
• Posting: The place of work is the Tarapur Maharashtra Site; this notice is not for posting anywhere in India.
• Medical fitness: Appointment depends on being found fit by an authorised NPCIL medical officer.
• Serving employees: Candidates working in government, public-sector, autonomous or aided institutions must bring a no-objection certificate from their present employer.
• Waitlist: NPCIL may maintain a post-wise waiting list and use it only under the conditions stated in the advertisement.
• Interview spillover: If registrations are too numerous to finish on the scheduled day, remaining registered candidates may be interviewed the following day. No fresh registration will be accepted then, and candidates must arrange their own stay.
