CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR) is hiring an Electrical Engineering Consultant for its Infrastructure Division in New Delhi. This short-term engagement supports essential engineering services at the Pusa and Satsang Vihar Marg campuses, with the job based at Vigyan Sanchar Bhavan in Pusa.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The initial engagement lasts six months. Taking up this assignment gives you no right to a regular appointment at the institute.
• Office schedule: Normal working hours run from 9.00 AM to 5.30 PM. The institute may also call you outside these hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, when urgent work needs attention.
• Attendance: You must record attendance in the register or through the mode the institute uses. Missing attendance records can lead to deductions from your pay.
• Ending the contract: Either you or the institute can end the engagement by giving one month's notice. This condition applies during the contractual assignment.
• Leave: Leave follows the Department of Expenditure instructions cited in the notice, along with any later instructions issued on the same subject.
• Confidentiality: You must protect information and data you encounter during the assignment. The notice applies the Official Secrets Act, and documents connected with the work remain the institute's property.
• Use of work material: You need the department's written consent before using, publishing or sharing data, statistics or proceedings collected during the assignment with anyone outside the authorised work.
• Professional accountability: You remain responsible for the advice you provide. The notice expects integrity, transparency, economy and efficiency in your work, with the institute's interests guiding your advice.
• Conflicts of interest: You cannot advise or represent others on matters that go against NIScPR's interests. Your activities must stay within the agreed contractual assignment.
• Accuracy of information: The application declaration makes you responsible for the information you provide. Concealing or distorting material facts can lead to termination without notice.
