The Mizoram Public Service Commission (Mizoram PSC) has released Advertisement No. 8 of 2026-2027 for direct recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) in the Power & Electricity Department. These are Group B (Non-Gazetted) posts. The selected engineers will look after the operation and maintenance of all hydro-electric projects under the Department, and also handle construction and maintenance of department buildings and approach roads to hydel projects. Diploma holders in Civil Engineering can apply for this stable Mizoram state government job.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You must have passed HSLC (10th Class) and a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or higher from a Government recognised institution.
• Computer Proficiency: You need to meet the computer proficiency standard set by the Mizoram Group A, B and C posts Service/Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2023.
• Mizo Language Proficiency: You must pass the qualifying test in Mizo Language. Candidates who studied Mizo as a subject up to Class X (HSLC) within Mizoram, or opted for Mizo as MIL outside Mizoram, are exempted from this test.

Age Limit

• You must be between 18 and 35 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC and ST candidates, or as notified by the Government from time to time.
• For age proof, your HSLC or HSSLC certificate showing your date of birth will be accepted.

Salary

• You will get Pay Level 7 in the Pay Matrix, which means a basic pay of Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Mizoram Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through:

2. Mizo Language Proficiency Test: Qualifying test for candidates who are not exempted.
3. Document Verification: All eligibility documents must be uploaded by the last date of application.
