Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is hiring contractual Assistant Professors for its College of Teacher Education (CTE) at Bhopal to run the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). The engagement covers five subjects — Economics, Political Science, History, Urdu and English — and is purely temporary and short-term, filled directly through walk-in interview rather than a written exam. Since MANUU is a minority university with Urdu as its medium of instruction, every post carries a compulsory Urdu-knowledge requirement alongside the usual postgraduate and B.Ed qualifications. Fresh NET/SLET-qualified candidates as well as retired teachers under 65 can walk in.

• Economics: one post, interview on the first day of the drive.

• History: one post, interview alongside Economics and Political Science.
• Urdu: one post, interview on the second day of the drive.
• English: two posts, the largest single-subject opening in this drive, interview on the second day.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Urdu requirement: compulsory for every post — you must be from an Urdu-medium school or madarsa, or have studied Urdu as a subject up to Class X, XII, undergraduate or postgraduate level.
• Tenure and posting: the engagement is purely temporary, and selected candidates can be posted at MANUU's Hyderabad headquarters or any of its institutions across the country, not only at CTE Bhopal.
• Retired teachers: retired Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors from recognised institutions can also apply, provided they are below 65 years.
• Vacancy count: the number of posts is tentative — MANUU can increase, decrease or choose not to fill any post depending on circumstances.
• NET/SLET validity: state-level SET/SLET qualifications count as minimum eligibility only for recruitment within that state's own universities and colleges, per UGC's 2018 regulations.

There is no online form for this drive — you walk in directly with your resume, original educational and experience certificates, proof of Urdu knowledge, testimonials, a passport-size photo and one set of self-attested photocopies, all at your own expense. Report by 9:30 AM and the interview starts at 11:00 AM at # Shanti Nagar, Behind Holy Family School, Near Prakash Vidyalaya, Pipaliner, Airport Road, Gandhi Nagar, Bhopal-462036 (Madhya Pradesh). Economics, Political Science and History candidates walk in on 24 August 2026; Urdu and English candidates walk in on 25 August 2026.
