Kerala PSC is hiring for Computer Assistant Gr. II posts in various Universities across Kerala. If you have passed SSLC along with the required Typewriting and Computer Word Processing certificates, you can apply online. There is no application fee. The last date to apply is 5 August 2026. The salary is Rs. 27,900 to Rs. 63,700 per month and the age limit is 18 to 40 years.

Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) Computer Assistant Gr. II Recruitment 2026

Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) has released notification Category No. 050/2026 for the post of Computer Assistant Gr. II in the Universities of Kerala. This is a direct recruitment done through a common ranked list, so you need to send only one application for all the universities together. The number of vacancies is anticipated — candidates will be advised from the ranked list against vacancies reported during its validity. Freshers who have completed SSLC and the required typewriting courses can apply.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must have passed SSLC or its equivalent.
• You need a Higher Grade Certificate in Typewriting (English) (KGTE) and Computer Word Processing or its equivalent.
• You also need a Lower Grade Certificate in Typewriting (Malayalam) (KGTE) or its equivalent.

Important Notes

• If you passed KGTE Typewriting before January 2002, you must hold a separate certificate in Computer Word Processing at the time of applying.
• Only a Government-issued typewriting certificate is accepted — certificates from private typewriting institutes will not be considered.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old.
• Only candidates born between 02.01.1986 and 01.01.2008 (both dates included) can apply.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST and Other Backward Communities get the usual relaxation, but the maximum age can never go beyond 50 years.

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 27,900 to Rs. 63,700 per month.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Kerala Government rules.

Application Fee

• There is no application fee for any category.

Selection Process

Selection is done by Kerala PSC in the following way:

1. Written / OMR / Online Test: If a test is held, you must confirm your participation through your One Time Registration profile and then download the admission ticket in the last 15 days before the test date.
2. Document Verification: You will need to produce original documents for qualification, age, community and other claims when Kerala PSC asks for them.
3. Ranked List: A common ranked list is published for all universities and stays valid for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 3 years. You are advised for appointment against reported vacancies based on your rank.

4% of the total vacancies are reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates.

How to Apply

1. Go to the Kerala PSC website at keralapsc.gov.in.
2. Complete your One Time Registration (OTR) if you have not done it already.
3. Log in with your User-ID and password.
4. Open the notification for Computer Assistant Gr. II and click Apply Now.
5. Check that your profile details and photo are correct, then submit.
6. Take a printout or soft copy of your application for future use.

Once submitted, your application cannot be changed or deleted, so check everything carefully before you submit.
