The Kerala Public Service Commission (Kerala PSC) has released notification Category No. 44/2026 for 1 Assistant Engineer (Electrical) post in the Kerala State Housing Board. This is a direct recruitment to a permanent post. 4% of vacancies are reserved for Differently Abled candidates. Electrical engineering graduates and diploma holders with equivalent qualifications can apply online through the One Time Registration (OTR) system.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible if you have any one of the following qualifications from a UGC-recognised university, a National Institute set up by the Central Government, or an institution set up by the Government of Kerala:

• A Degree in Engineering in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics (or equivalent)
• AMIE (India) Section A & B in Electrical Engineering
• Associate Membership Diploma of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent diploma
• A Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or an equivalent qualification

You must first complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the Kerala PSC website before applying.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old. Only candidates born between 02 January 1986 and 01 January 2008 (both dates included) can apply.
• Age Relaxation: Usual age relaxation applies for SC/ST and Other Backward Communities.
• Provisional hands working in the Kerala State Housing Board get age relaxation equal to their provisional service, up to a maximum of five years, subject to conditions.

Salary

• The pay scale for this post is Rs. 51,400 to Rs. 1,10,300 per month.
• You will also get DA and other allowances as per the rules of the Kerala State Housing Board.

Selection Process

Selection is done by the Kerala PSC based on the notification:

1. Written / OMR / Online Test (if conducted): If a test is held, you must submit a confirmation through your OTR profile to get your admission ticket. The exam date and details will be published in the Kerala PSC Examination Calendar.
2. Document Verification: You must produce original documents for qualification, experience, age and community when called.

A ranked list of selected candidates will be published and will stay valid for a minimum of one year (up to a maximum of three years). Candidates are advised against the vacancy shown above and any further vacancies reported while the list is active.
