The Regional Agricultural Research Station (Southern Zone), Vellayani, under Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), has invited candidates for one Project Assistant post under the ICAR-funded project on soil quality, carbon sequestration potential and biological regimes under natural farming in the acid soils of Kerala. There is no written exam — selection is purely through a walk-in interview. This is a great fit if you are a soil science or agronomy postgraduate looking to work on a real field research project.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• You must have an M.Sc (Ag) in one of these subjects: Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, Agronomy, or Horticulture.

Desirable Skills

• Field and laboratory skills, especially in conducting field experiments and soil analysis.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Salary

• You will get a fixed consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• The post is for 1 year and can be extended based on your performance.
• This is a purely temporary post. It gives you no claim to a permanent job or regularisation in KAU.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done through a single stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend in person on 8 June 2026 at 10 AM at the office of the Associate Director of Research, RARS Vellayani. Carry originals and copies of all your certificates.
