Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) is hiring 2 Assistant Professors (Contract basis) for Nano Science and Technology at its College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara. KAU's College of Agriculture, Vellanikkara has released Notification No. COAVKA/1400/2026-E2 for 2 Assistant Professor (Contract basis) posts in the Nano Science and Technology department. This is a one-year contract appointment, or until the university appoints a regular candidate, whichever comes first. No online application is needed — eligible candidates can walk in directly with their documents on the interview date. Fresh Ph.D holders or NET-qualified postgraduates in Nano Science are especially encouraged to attend.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Tech in Nano Science and Nano Technology, OR M.Sc. Chemistry (Nano Science and Nano Technology), OR M.Sc. (Agri) Nano Science and Technology, OR M.Sc. Physics (Nano Science and Nano Technology)
• You must have completed your graduation in B.Sc.(Agri.)/B.Sc.(Physics)/B.Sc.(Chemistry)/B.Tech recognized by Kerala Agricultural University, with a minimum of 55% marks
• NET qualification is required
• Desirable: A Ph.D in Nano Science and Nano Technology, along with research experience and publications in the field, will be preferred

Age Limit

• You should not be above 40 years of age as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Reservation and age relaxation will be granted to eligible candidates as per existing government rules.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 44,100 per month.

Selection is based on:
