Department of Posts, Government of India (India Post) is filling Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) positions in the Mail Motor Service at Bengaluru and its sub-depot at Mysuru. This is a Group C, non-gazetted and non-ministerial cadre under the Ministry of Communications. The notice is a deputation or absorption vacancy circular for serving government staff, not an open-market recruitment for fresh candidates.

The department will first consider regular Dispatch Riders and MTS personnel from India Post who are in the feeder pay level and hold the required licences. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Applicant pool: Only serving eligible government employees and qualifying Armed Forces personnel are covered. Members of the general public should not apply under this circular.
• Feeder cadre: India Post applicants must be regular Dispatch Riders or MTS staff in the stated feeder level and must prove competence to drive light and heavy motor vehicles.
