Who Can Apply?

JRF / Project Associate-I (5 posts) - Rs. 37,000 + HRA/month:

• B.Tech/B.E./M.Sc or M.Tech/M.E./M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 60% marks (or 6 CGPA out of 10)
• You need a valid GATE score, or should have cleared NET or another national-level exam conducted by a central government institution

• Desirable skills: antenna design, HFSS/CST simulation, wireless communication, optimization, Machine Learning/AI, Python, MATLAB, hardware development and testing

PostDoc / Research Associate-III (2 posts) - Rs. 67,000 + HRA/month:

• PhD/MD/MS/MDS or an equivalent degree, OR 3 years of research/teaching/design experience after M.E./M.Tech with at least one paper published in an SCI-indexed journal
• If you have submitted your PhD thesis, you can also apply
• Desirable background: Antenna and Microwave Engineering, Wireless Communications, AI/ML

Project Assistant / Field Assistant / Field Worker (2 posts) - Rs. 24,000 + HRA/month:

• Graduate degree in any discipline
• Desirable skills: field data collection, setting up experiments, handling equipment, reporting, basic computer skills, and a valid driving licence

Salary

• JRF/Project Associate-I: Rs. 37,000 per month + 9% HRA
• PostDoc/Research Associate-III: Rs. 67,000 per month + 9% HRA
• Project Assistant/Field Assistant/Field Worker: Rs. 24,000 per month + 9% HRA
• You will also get House Rent Allowance (HRA) at 9% of your basic pay, on top of the monthly salary listed above.
• These monthly salary figures are fixed as per Institute norms and will not change during your tenure unless revised by IIT Ropar.
