Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) is hiring a Trainer and Centre Manager for its Dr. B. C. Roy Multi-Speciality Medical Research Centre. These full-time contract roles support paramedical skill-development training delivered through the Continuing Education Programme (CEP), with accreditation from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Posts and Disciplines

Post-wise Duties

Trainer

You will deliver theory and practical training, run internal online assessments and review how students are progressing. The role also includes workshops, seminars, webinars and activities that keep students involved in learning. When students struggle, you will identify their learning difficulties and arrange special classes, using different teaching methods to improve participation.

Centre Manager

You will handle student outreach and admission support, including visits to local bodies, schools, colleges and other institutions. You will answer questions from students, guardians and others, organise counselling, and help manage admissions. You will also track attendance and dropouts, help faculty run classes, collect student feedback, support internships and possible placements, and prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports through the SFS application.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The initial appointment is for 12 months. Extension depends on performance, with an overall limit of 2 years; the notice rules out extension beyond that limit.
• Ending the contract: The notice allows termination by mutual agreement, or through up to 30 days of notice or one month of consolidated pay from either side.
• Travel costs: IIT Kharagpur will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the selection process.
• Institute decisions: The institute may reject applications and limits the number of people it calls for assessment. Meeting the stated conditions does not guarantee a call.
• Conduct and disputes: Trying to influence the recruitment leads to disqualification. Recruitment disputes fall under courts with jurisdiction over Kolkata.
