IISER Bhopal JRF Robotics Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) is recruiting a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a project in its Department of Data Science and Engineering, based at Bhauri, Bhopal. The project, AI-Enabled 3D Mapping Robot for Precision Industrial Automation and Smart Manufacturing, receives support from the Anusandhan National Research Foundation through the Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant. Its focus is robotic vision for reconstruction, mapping and understanding scenes, using both stationary and mobile robots. The research connects autonomous scanning, defect detection, simultaneous localisation and mapping, sensor fusion and navigation with real industrial environments, with possible uses in manufacturing, inspection, agriculture, mining and autonomous robotics.

• Project appointment: The initial engagement is for 12 months. An extension depends on your performance, so you should treat renewal as conditional when considering this opportunity.
