ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (ICAR-CIRCOT) JRF Recruitment 2026

The ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (ICAR-CIRCOT), Mumbai has opened one Junior Research Fellow post. This is a purely contractual job under the DST-funded project "Design and Development of Indigenous Grinding System for Production of Ultra-Fine Sized Fertilizers", sanctioned by the Ministry of Science & Technology. The interview is held in hybrid mode — you can attend in person at Mumbai or online with prior intimation. This is a good chance for fresh engineering post-graduates who want hands-on research experience in machinery design and testing.

Who Can Apply?

• Option 1: Master's degree in Agricultural Engineering / Agricultural Structures and Process Engineering / Post Harvest Engineering and Technology / Farm Machinery and Power / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with a 4 or 5-year Bachelor's degree.
• Option 2: B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with a valid GATE/JRF qualification as per ICAR and DST norms.
• Marks: You must have a First Class or 60% marks or equivalent overall CGPA.
• Desirable: Knowledge of design and development of machinery, testing of machines in the field, and research paper writing.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get Rs. 37,000 per month plus HRA.
• The fellowship is for a 2-year period and is co-terminus with the project.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done through a single walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview (Hybrid Mode): Attend in person at ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai or online with prior intimation.
2. Document Verification: Bring original certificates of age, qualification and experience for checking at the interview.

Reach the venue 30 minutes before the scheduled time. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.
