Gurugram University (GU) is engaging a Research Assistant in its Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences for a Haryana State Research Fund project. The study is supported by the Haryana State Higher Education Council and is led by Dr. Neelam Vashist as principal investigator. The project combines medicinal chemistry, computational screening and cancer biology, making it especially relevant if your pharmacy background includes both compound synthesis and molecular modelling.

The research focuses on innovative pyrimidine derivatives as a possible strategy for targeting EGFR/HER2+ tyrosine kinase in breast cancer. You would join a small project team where laboratory work, computational analysis and scientific writing connect directly. The role is tied to this named research project rather than to the university's regular establishment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The engagement begins for six months and may continue until the project ends, subject to project extension, satisfactory work, conduct and available funds.
• Project-linked appointment: The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It does not create any claim to a regular university appointment.
• Work commitment: You cannot take another paid job, private tuition or an academic course during the contract period.
• Performance condition: The fellowship may be cancelled for misconduct, unsatisfactory research work or later discovery that the appointee was not eligible.
• Joining expectation: The selected person should be ready to report at short notice and carry out project-related work assigned by the principal investigator.
• Interview travel: The university will not pay TA, DA or another allowance for attending the interview.
