GTBH Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview

Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTBH) is hiring Senior Resident doctors across its clinical and laboratory departments at Dilshad Garden, Delhi. These are short ad-hoc appointments under the Government of NCT of Delhi, pending appointments through the Central Appointment Committee. You must complete the notice-prescribed online form and attend the hospital in person for your department's scheduled session.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial term: Your appointment is for 44 days. Further 44-day periods may be approved with a one-day break after your written request is recommended and forwarded by the Head of Department.
• Regular appointments take priority: The engagement can end when a regular Senior Resident joins through the Central Appointment Committee. The hospital can end ad-hoc service without prior notice in that situation.
• Residency limit: The normal maximum tenure includes earlier senior residency in government hospitals, institutes or organisations. An ad-hoc appointment gives you no continuing claim over the post.
• Relaxed-criteria appointments: Doctors who have completed their normal residency tenure are considered through a separate list. The hospital uses the fresh-applicant list before turning to this second list.
• Transfers: Inter-hospital and inter-institutional transfers are not allowed. Service follows the Residency Scheme.
• Travel and extended sessions: No TA/DA is payable. If the board continues interviews on another working day, it will announce this verbally; do not leave before checking with the board if your interview remains pending.
• Joining: Selected doctors must report within the period specified by the hospital and before 11:00 AM on a working day. Failure to report as directed can lead to cancellation.
• Changing availability: Resignations and the completion of existing residents' tenures can change the posts available.

The hospital uses a Google Form followed by an in-person application submission. Fill entries in capital letters, use a current email address and bring the signed printout of the submitted form to the interview board; the notice says the form reaches you by email.

Report at the Skill Lab, third floor, Administration Block, GTB Hospital, Dilshad Garden, Delhi 110095. Morning attendance runs from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, while afternoon attendance runs from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM; use the session assigned to your department.
