Goa Samagra Shiksha (GSS) is engaging Foundational Stage Teachers for schools across Goa through an in-person walk-in process. The teachers will support early-years learning under the Directorate of Education and may be placed in any of the eleven blocks named in the notice. This is a fixed-term contractual engagement for the current academic cycle, suited to candidates trained in early-childhood, pre-primary, elementary or inclusive education.

The work covers the stage where children build their first literacy, number, communication and classroom habits. You should be comfortable using play, stories, activities and simple learning material rather than relying only on textbook instruction. Knowledge of Konkani is an essential condition, because day-to-day teaching and communication must work for young learners in the local setting.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The appointment runs only up to 31 March 2027. It does not create a claim to a permanent post or continuation after that date.
• Block placement: Vacancies are spread across Pernem, Bardez, Tiswadi, Mormugao, Quepem, Dharbandora, Canacona, Ponda, Bicholim, Sattari and Salcete. Your final place of work will depend on the authority's placement decision.
• Language: You must know Konkani. The notice treats this as an essential recruitment condition, not merely a preference.
• Experience route: One year of teaching or apprenticeship experience is required along with an accepted teacher-training qualification.
• Document checks: Meeting the stated qualification lets you take part, but your candidature can still be cancelled if original records do not support a claim.
• Recruitment discretion: The authority may cancel the process without advance notice. Attendance at the walk-in does not guarantee selection.
• Travel: You must attend at your own cost; no travelling allowance is available.
• Reservation: The notice distributes posts among unreserved, Other Backward Class, Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste categories. Bring a current certificate if you claim a reserved place.

Application Submission Notes

Report to the Directorate of Education, Alto Porvorim, Goa with an application and full biodata. The interview begins at 9:30 AM, and the notice asks you to arrive half an hour early so registration and document checking can be completed.

Carry every relevant original along with photocopies, including proof of birth, education, Goa residence and Employment Exchange registration. Write "This certificate is true copy of the original" on each photocopy and self-attest it below that statement. Candidates reporting after 11:00 AM will not be considered, so allow enough time for travel and entry at the venue.
