Goa Dental College Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) has opened the Assistant Engineer (Electrical) post at the Goa Dental College and Hospital, which works under the Public Health Department of the Government of Goa. The post is being filled by transfer on deputation under Advertisement No. 09 of 2026, so it is meant for people already in regular government service — this is not an open-market opening for fresh engineering graduates. The work sits on the technical side of a teaching dental hospital, where the electrical wing keeps dental chairs, X-ray units and the rest of the clinical machinery running.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Deputation route only: Only serving officers of Central or State Government offices can apply. You qualify either by holding an analogous post on a regular basis, or by completing three years of regular service in the equivalent pre-revised scale the Commission has specified, while also meeting the qualifications fixed for direct recruits.
• Equipment experience counts: The Commission wants hands-on professional experience in the maintenance and repair of dental machinery and equipment, not general electrical work alone.
• Reservation: The post is unreserved, so it is open to all serving officers who meet the eligibility conditions.
• Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum qualifications does not get you an interview call by itself. When a large number of applications come in, the Commission shortlists candidates the way its published "Instructions" describe.

For the fee, you can either pay online and download the e-receipt, or generate an e-challan and pay cash at any SBI branch situated in Goa. If you take the challan route, the bank stamp is compulsory and the stamped challan must reach the Commission's office on or before the closing date. The application form can be downloaded only after the payment goes through, and a payment made after the closing date means the application is rejected with no refund.
