Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited Systems Recruitment 2026 - 5 Posts

GMRC has released Advertisement No. GMRCL/HR/RECT/Systems/Jul-2026/23 dated 27 July 2026 for 5 posts across its Systems department, covering traction, rolling stock and general engineering functions for the Ahmedabad and Surat Metro projects. The posts are offered on Contract or Deputation basis for a minimum of 3 years, extendable up to 5 years. Candidates currently working in Government departments, PSUs or other Metro Rail Corporations are especially encouraged to apply, along with experienced private-sector engineers. The number of posts may vary based on further assessment of requirement, and prescribed qualifications are the minimum requirements only — meeting them does not guarantee an interview call.

Who Can Apply?

Manager (Traction) - O&M, Contract/Deputation:

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a government-recognized institute
• Experience: Relevant experience in planning, technical specifications, contract administration, installation, testing, commissioning, statutory approvals or maintenance of electric traction/HV power systems in railways, metros, PSUs or private sector. You need at least 9 years in a private organization or 7 years in Government/PSU/Metro Rail Corporation. Experience with modern urban metro rail systems is preferred.

Assistant Manager - Age limit 35 years:

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in a relevant engineering discipline
• Experience: You should be presently working in the revised IDA scale of Rs. 50,000-1,60,000 or equivalent 7th CPC Level 7, or have worked at least 2 years in the Non-Executive grade (Rs. 46,000-1,45,000) or Executive grade (Rs. 40,000-1,40,000) or equivalent Level 6
• Minimum CTC required: Rs. 70,000 per month

Engineer - Senior Grade / Junior Grade - Age limit 32 years:

• Experience: At least 4 years in the Non-Executive grade (Rs. 40,000-1,25,000) or Executive grade (Rs. 35,000-1,10,000) or equivalent CDA scale in Government, PSU or Metro Rail Corporations

Note: If GMRC does not find enough suitable candidates for an advertised post, candidates from a lower pay scale meeting the required qualification, total experience and age criteria may also be considered.

Age Limit

• Assistant Manager: up to 35 years
• Engineer - Senior/Junior Grade: up to 32 years
• Age and experience are counted as on 28 July 2026.
• Age limit does not apply to existing GMRCL employees.

Salary

• Manager (Traction): Revised IDA scale of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,80,000 per month, equivalent to 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 8 (Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100).
• Assistant Manager: Minimum CTC of Rs. 70,000 per month.
• You will also get Group medical coverage and Group personal accident insurance as per GMRCL policy.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

1. Personal Interview: Venue, date and time will be informed in advance.
2. Document Verification: Done before the interview — carry original certificates.
3. Medical Examination: As per the category prescribed for the post.

Preference is given to candidates with experience in the same grade or an immediately lower grade with 2 years of experience in that grade. GMRC reserves the right to offer a lower grade than the one you applied for, based on its assessment.
