GIMS Staff Nurse Recruitment 2026: Overview
Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, an autonomous institute under the Government of Uttar Pradesh, is conducting direct recruitment for Staff Nurses under Advertisement GIMS/2026/Manpower/NT-03/10 dated 9 August 2026.
Extension notice NT-03/10A dated 8 September 2026 refers to the same recruitment and extends the online application deadline to 7 October 2026. Applicants should read the extension together with the original information brochure; it is a continuation of the existing recruitment.

- Handle patient care and nursing duties in the assigned ward
- Administer medicines and treatments as prescribed by doctors
- Keep accurate records of patient vitals, medication, and health status
- Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies
- Maintain hygiene, infection control, and safety standards in the ward
- Work in rotating shifts including night duty as required
- Guide and support patients and their families about care and recovery

B.Sc Nursing (4-year) or B.Sc Nursing Post-Basic (2-year) — GNM diploma with 2 years' experience also accepted

The Computer Based Test (CBT) will have objective-type questions related to nursing. 80% of questions test theoretical knowledge and 20% test practical knowledge.
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks (1/4) deducted for each wrong answer. No penalty for unattempted questions.
Exam Language: Hindi and English
Exam Type: Objective (MCQ), Computer Based Test

Selected candidates get a starting salary of around Rs. 44,900 per month under Level-7 of the 7th CPC, plus DA, HRA and other allowances.
You need a B.Sc Nursing degree (4-year or Post-Basic), or a GNM diploma with 2 years' hospital experience, and must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife.

The fee is Rs. 1,298 for Unreserved/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs. 944 for SC/ST candidates. Divyang candidates with UP domicile are exempted.
