GBU JRF Probiotics Recruitment 2026: Overview
Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) is hiring a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a project on Gujarat’s probiotic resources at Gandhinagar. The project, Unveiling Gujarat’s Probiotic Treasures, Dahi Nidhi, is funded by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), Government of Gujarat, and connects its research theme with the idea of “vocal for local”. You will join a project appointment at the university, with the engagement tied to the funded work.

पात्रता मानदंड
न्यूनतम योग्यता
M.Sc. or M.Tech in Biotechnology, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a relevant life sciences discipline, with at least 55% marks.
वांछित योग्यता
Preference for CSIR-UGC-NET, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, GATE or another national-level examination qualification.
आवश्यक कौशल
Scientific writing proficiency. Desirable practical skills include bacterial cultivation, identification and characterisation, microbial consortia development, metagenomics, molecular biology and LC-MS/GC-MS techniques.

Rs. 36,000 per month inclusive of HRA for NET/GATE or national-level examination-qualified candidates; Rs. 23,213 fixed per month for candidates without such a qualification, under GSBTM, DST, Government of Gujarat guidelines.
