Gadag Court Peon Recruitment 2026: Overview
Principal District and Sessions Court, Gadag is recruiting Peons through direct recruitment for courts functioning in Gadag district, Karnataka. This is a district judiciary recruitment covering the posts listed in Notification 01/2026. The appointment process is subject to the final order in Karnataka High Court writ petition 200448/2025, a condition you should keep in mind when following this recruitment.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Probation: Selected applicants will serve a two-year probation period under the recruitment rules. Your appointment therefore includes a period of probation rather than immediate confirmation.
- Reservation roster: The notice includes vertical categories and horizontal reservations for women, rural applicants, Kannada-medium applicants, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, displaced persons and third-gender applicants. Each claim is governed by the relevant category and roster entry.
- Unfilled horizontal reservations: If suitable applicants are unavailable for the listed horizontal reservations, the notice allows those places to be filled by other qualified applicants from the same category.

- Influence: Attempts to obtain support or influence from an authority or another person can lead to rejection of your application.
- Travel: You must attend the recruitment proceedings at your own expense. The notice does not provide travel reimbursement for attending.
- Recruitment updates: Follow the court website for schedules and announcements. The notice says individual postal letters will not be sent; messages may be sent to the contact details in your form, but the recruitment authority is not responsible if you do not receive them.
