ECHS Secunderabad Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Post-wise Duties

Medical Specialist, Medical Officer and Dental Officer

You will see ECHS beneficiaries in the outpatient room, record clinical findings, prescribe treatment and decide when a case must go to a service or empanelled hospital. Dental posts run the chair-side dental work of the polyclinic.

Officer-in-Charge

You will run the polyclinic day to day — staff coordination, stores, records and beneficiary grievances — and act as the link between the polyclinic and the Station HQ ECHS Cell.

Para-medical staff

Pharmacists, lab staff, nursing assistants, physiotherapists and dental technicians keep the clinical services running: dispensing, sample collection and testing, dressing and injection room work, physiotherapy sessions and upkeep of clinical registers.

Clerical and support staff

Clerks and data entry operators maintain beneficiary records and correspondence, while attendants, chowkidars, safaiwalas and peons handle patient assistance, security, cleanliness and movement of files inside the polyclinic.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: ex-servicemen and widows of deceased soldiers are engaged for twelve months; civilian candidates for eleven months. The engagement is contractual and gives no claim to regular government service.
• Ex-servicemen preference: former service personnel are preferred as per merit, and several posts are written specifically for candidates holding armed forces trade courses or class-I certificates.
• Training: after selection you must complete ten days of on-job training without pay and allowances before you start regular duty.
• Travel: no TA or DA is paid for the written test or the interview.
