Dibrugarh University (DU) is recruiting a CRS Project Fellow (Junior)-I for a contractual research assignment in its Department of Chemistry in Assam. The project focuses on designing and developing new quinazolinone-based heterocycles for possible use as fluorogenic anti-cancer agents and probes.

The work is funded by the University Grants Commission–Department of Atomic Energy Consortium for Scientific Research (UGC-DAE CSR) through its Collaborative Research Scheme (CRS). Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial appointment: Your appointment will run for one year from the date you join. Renewal depends on satisfactory performance and the availability of the project grant.
• Project duration: The project initially runs for one year and can be extended by another two years. An extension is conditional, so the possible longer project period does not guarantee a longer appointment.
• Project-linked service: The position is temporary and ends with the project. Keep this condition in mind when considering the role as your next research assignment, because the end of the project also sets a limit on the appointment.
• Possible upgrade: The position may be upgraded from Junior-I to Junior-II if you fulfil the funding agency's conditions. The notice presents this as a possibility, rather than an automatic change after joining, and ties the decision to the requirements set by the project funding agency.
• Interview communication: You will not receive a separate invitation letter for the walk-in interview. Use the venue and reporting details in the notice when planning your attendance, without waiting for an individual letter to confirm the arrangements.
