Defence Research and Innovation Foundation (DRIF) is a Section 8 company established at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar. It is hiring an Administrative and Assistant Training Officer (AATO) to support its administration and defence training operations through a contractual appointment.

The role connects DRIF management, IIT Ropar faculty and Armed Forces training contacts. Its scope covers courses held on campus as well as those organised outside the campus, so your work sits across the foundation’s office administration and training arrangements.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The contract runs for eleven months. It can be extended for another eleven months on the Chief Executive Officer’s recommendation to the Managing Director. An extension depends on that recommendation.
• Reporting arrangement: The position works under the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, with administrative and training matters reported to the Chief Executive Officer.

• Prepare the yearly training plan and course calendar with the Chief Executive Officer.
• Coordinate courses with IIT Ropar faculty and Armed Forces contacts.

• Oversee budget records and project or course invoices with the Accounts Officer.
• Supervise travel and accommodation arrangements approved by management.
• Handle leave, administrative and disciplinary paperwork for training courses.
