CUTN Medical Officer Recruitment 2026

Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) is hiring 1 Medical Officer (Male) for its Health Centre at the Neelakudi Campus, Thiruvarur. Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) Medical Officer (Male) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act, CUTN operates from its Neelakudi and Nagakudi campuses in Thiruvarur, offering academic programmes across 13 schools and running its own Health Centre for students and staff. CUTN has released Advertisement No. CUTN/TE/03/2026 to engage a Medical Officer (Male) at its Health Centre on a purely temporary basis for an initial period of 6 months. This position is meant to meet the university's immediate health system needs. Only male candidates can apply for this post, and it does not carry the benefits of allowances, pension, gratuity or leave available to regular Medical Officers.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A recognized Medical Degree (MBBS) from any university, registered with the Indian Medical Council/NMC, and completion of rotating internship.
• Desirable: A Postgraduate Degree in General Medicine or equivalent recognized by NMC, or MBBS with one year of experience.
• Gender: This post is open to male candidates only.

Age Limit

• Your age should not exceed 40 years as on the last date of application.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a fixed remuneration of Rs. 65,000 per month.
• This is a temporary engagement — you will not get allowances, pension, gratuity or leave benefits given to regular Medical Officers.

Selection Process

Selection is done through interview:

1. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview based on the application received.
2. Interview: Final selection is based on the interview.

This engagement will not make you eligible for the regular Medical Officer recruitment to be conducted in future.
